Industrial wind facilities have a number of major negative impacts that cause concern:

1.  Forest fragmentation

2.  Noise pollution

3.  Direct Mortality to wildlife 

4.  Stream/watershed degradation 

The Mehoopany Wind Project proposed for Wyoming County, PA will contain 87 turbines, 32 miles of new roads, and will impact 450 acres found in 8 watersheds of high-quality, cold water streams, and 2 watersheds of cold water streams.  These headwater streams deserve to be protected and should not be degraded by large-scale industrialization of any kind.
